Olive Boté is a designer whose work spans fashion, footwear, and accessories. They recently completed an Associate’s degree in Footwear and Accessories Design from FIT, following a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in Textile and Fashion Design with a Mathematics certificate.

Influenced by a Midwestern upbringing that gave them a unique relationship with nature, their practice draws on the tradition of working with animal materials while allowing each textile’s inherent qualities to guide the design process. Designed with an alternative sensibility, their work is not necessarily androgynous, but distinctly otherly.

In the past year, Olive has added machine knitting and leather construction to their technical practice.
